Freyr is an Icelandic and Swedish songwriter whose music moves between indie folk and understated modern pop, shaped by a reflective mind and a clear sense of melody. His songs often carry the stillness of the north, yet beneath that calm lies a pulse that reveals his roots in alternative music and rock. He treats songwriting as a way of understanding rather than explaining.

Freyr loves performing and views the stage as an extension of the writing process, a place where songs continue to evolve through connection with others.

 

Away from music, he enjoys hiking in remote places where there is no connection, playing and overanalyzing chess, and seeking out new friends, views and foods wherever he travels.
